This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Provide support to the Production, Technical, and Design teams throughout the entire game development process.
• Manage technical tasks, priorities, dependencies, and deliverables in collaboration with programmers and technical team members.
• Monitor and communicate technical risks, blockers, and dependencies that may impact production timelines or project scope.
• Foster effective communication across various disciplines.
• Assist in outlining project scope, schedules, milestones, and prioritization.
• Maintain and oversee project plans, tasks, dependencies, and deliverables utilizing Jira, Confluence, and spreadsheets.
• Organize daily development activities and ensure issues are followed through to resolution.
• Aid in sprint planning, task prioritization, milestone planning, and production reviews.
• Support in identifying, prioritizing, and tracking issues.
• Recognize production challenges and collaborate with team members to devise solutions.
• Enhance production processes and adjust workflows to meet team and project requirements.
• Contribute to a collaborative, transparent, and well-structured development environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the gaming industry.
• At least 1 shipped game.
• Proficient with production and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
• Strong knowledge of the game development lifecycle, production methodologies, and game development technologies.
• Familiarity with technical game development processes and the role of programming in game production.
• Ability to comprehend and articulate technical concepts to facilitate collaboration between production and engineering/programming teams.
• Capability to help define project scope, schedules, milestones, and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding organizational, multitasking, and decision-making abilities.
• Highly self-motivated, proactive, and ready to take initiative.
• Passionate understanding of video games.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and adapt processes according to team needs.
• Candidates must be current residents of Ontario.
• 6.5 weeks of paid vacation.
