This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Drive impactful financial results through achieving signings and revenue objectives.
• Assist in the identification, pursuit, and conversion of business development opportunities.
• Define engagement scopes and negotiate fees while overseeing profitability and risk management.
• Provide counsel to state and local governments, as well as K-12 and higher education clients, on technological and operational challenges.
• Establish and nurture relationships with decision-makers in the public sector.
• Oversee C-level client interactions, consulting projects, deliverables, and deal outcomes.
• Direct the design and management of complex engagements.
• Meet individual and team utilization goals.
• Encourage personal and professional growth, curiosity, innovation, and commercial execution.
• Shape and propel strategic initiatives leveraging industry and technological expertise.
• Create thought leadership and intellectual capital.
• Keep abreast of legislative, regulatory, and policy changes that impact client priorities and opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals and presentations.
• Lead and implement intricate multidisciplinary projects.
• Identify and seek new business prospects within current and potential SLED accounts.
• Strong grasp of budget cycles and fiscal-year planning within Georgia and/or Florida state and local governments.
• Navigate public-sector procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, sole-source justifications, NASPO, OMNIA, and GSA schedules.
• Craft proposals that comply with public-sector standards, security, and accessibility requirements.
• Proven ability to cultivate and commercialize relationships with senior executives.
• Established history of leading and executing complex projects with multidisciplinary teams across consulting, corporate, or public-sector contexts.
• Financial expertise with a focus on driving revenue growth and managing profit margins.
• Experience in managing or supporting high-stakes business development endeavors with senior stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of industry trends and technology.
• Demonstrated capacity for innovation and driving change.
• Background in sales roles with SLED organizations.
• Familiarity with IT professional services and solutions, particularly in relation to or transitioning to the cloud.
• Comprehensive understanding of government procurement regulations, public contracting laws, and vendor compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of CJIS, FERPA, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and StateRAMP.
• Experience engaging with IT, finance, legal, and elected or appointed leadership stakeholders.
• Capability to manage extended sales or project cycles within public-sector engagements.
• Strong written communication skills with a background in responding to formal government solicitations.
• Previous experience in a government agency, public school district, or university system is a plus.
• Familiarity with digital equity initiatives, smart city programs, or government modernization efforts is advantageous.
• Existing connections within state agencies, municipalities, or educational institutions in California are a plus.
