This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as the main point of contact for designated accounts, overseeing daily interactions and ensuring sustained client satisfaction.
• Create and implement comprehensive account plans with strategies and actions aimed at increasing wallet share.
• Foster account growth through proactive upselling, modernization, technology refreshes, and cross-selling of products and services tailored to client needs.
• Formulate and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue goals and enhance engagement across various departments (e.g., Facilities, IT, Finance, Loss Prevention, C-suite).
• Track account performance, monitor KPIs, and address issues with a client-centric and solution-oriented mindset.
• Respond to qualified RFPs and assist in crafting customized proposals and presentations for potential clients.
• Build and sustain industry relationships with consultants, contractors, and manufacturers to aid client development.
• Represent the organization at trade shows and engage in local associations to maintain visibility and generate pipeline opportunities.
• Conduct on-site physical assessments to evaluate client needs.
• Design systems that align with client specifications and company standards.
• Effectively communicate intricate technical concepts and services in a consultative, client-friendly manner.
• Prepare and deliver personalized sales presentations and proposals that illustrate product features as concrete business benefits.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, Finance) to provide client value.
• Offer strategic insights and account feedback to support product development and market strategies.
• Work with Marketing to develop and implement account-specific campaigns and initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive actions, and market dynamics affecting key accounts.
• Share insights and strategic recommendations with leadership to aid in broader business planning and strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of 3 years of sales or account management experience, ideally with national or strategic accounts.
• Familiarity with construction documents, including transmittals, RFIs, specifications, drawing packages, and AIA billing.
• Demonstrated history of meeting or surpassing sales quotas.
• Understanding of job financial reports and the ability to manage costs for large projects.
• Strong skills in negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations and industry events (25–40%).
