Associate Manager, Global Payroll

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Ensure accurate and timely payment for employees across various countries and pay cycles.

• Oversee daily payroll processing operations.

• Calculate and report tax obligations, including periodic, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reconciliations; validate payroll tax reporting and related tasks, including year-end forms.

• Manage processes related to payroll tax reporting systems.

• Collaborate with external payroll vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery and precision.

• Address and resolve inquiries from employees and stakeholders through the team's ticketing system.

• Research evolving laws and regulations concerning taxes and payroll withholding practices.

• Prepare reports and analyses for senior leadership as required.

• Act as the primary contact for payroll tax notifications and regulatory payroll audits.

• Ensure proper taxation of payroll and benefits.

• Work closely with Finance, People Ops, Legal, and FP&A teams, along with the Booking Holdings Payroll Team, to guarantee accuracy and alignment across the organization.

• Lead, develop, and support our expanding Payroll Team, cultivating a professional, inclusive, and supportive work environment.

• Contribute to special projects and provide guidance to leadership on tax-related issues.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of recent, hands-on payroll experience with multinational payrolls.

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred.

• A professional payroll certification is highly desirable.

• Experience in leading or managing a team.

• Familiarity with CloudPay and ADP is ideal.

• Proficient in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and comfortable working with extensive data sets.

• Ability to generate and analyze ad hoc reports using payroll systems and spreadsheet tools.

• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a proven history of meeting deadlines.

• Clear and concise communication skills — both written and verbal — with a collaborative approach to teamwork.

• Commitment to data confidentiality and professional integrity.

• A dedicated and adaptable mindset with a creative, practical approach to problem-solving.

• Familiarity with payroll platforms such as CloudPay, ADP, or similar systems.
