This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a portfolio consisting of mid-level donors and prospective major donors.
• Foster personalized relationships with donors through phone calls, handwritten notes, impact briefings, and invitations to events.
• Create and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies in collaboration with the Director of Individual Giving.
• Utilize research, evaluation results, survey data, and program impact updates during donor conversations and stewardship activities.
• Identify donors who have the potential and willingness to transition into major-gifts relationships and establish pathways for upgrades.
• Maintain records of donor activity, contact history, call notes, next steps, and gift dates using EveryAction.
• Lead the strategy and implementation of the one-to-many annual fund initiative.
• Design and execute email appeals, cultivation sequences, and upgrade campaigns.
• Create and oversee virtual community events such as online briefings, research presentations, and donor discussions.
• Monitor open rates, conversion rates, upgrade rates, and donor retention to enhance the program.
• Provide timely and impactful stewardship for portfolio donors.
• Draft and send personalized acknowledgments, impact updates, and year-end communications.
• Ensure compliance with entity-specific requirements in donor communications and solicitations.
• Engage in portfolio reviews and share insights on donor patterns, opportunities, and risks.
• Submit timesheets every two weeks and undertake additional responsibilities as necessary.
• A minimum of three years of experience in fundraising.
• Direct experience managing a donor portfolio and cultivating relationships with mid-level or major donors.
• Experience with one-to-many fundraising initiatives, including digital appeals, cultivation sequences, and community-focused donor engagement.
• Familiarity with EveryAction or a similar CRM system.
• Strong dedication to maintaining accurate documentation.
• Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not offered.
• Excellent writing skills for crafting personal, specific, and impact-oriented communications with donors.
• A relational approach, with genuine warmth and the ability to build donor trust across various giving levels and backgrounds.
• Capability to simultaneously manage a portfolio and a fundraising program.
• Strong organizational skills and a proven track record of follow-through.
• A genuine connection to the mission and an understanding of Galvanize’s cultural and political context.
• Willingness to travel as necessary for cultivation events, regional gatherings, and donor meetings.
• Familiarity with the compliance framework of a multi-entity organization is appreciated but not mandatory.
