Associate Investigator, Trust and Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a large volume of inquiries via Intercom, delivering clear, concise, and professional communication to users while focusing on process enhancements.

• Analyze sign-up, login, and transaction fraud indicators, recognizing and preventing fraudulent activities on the platform.

• Perform investigations to identify suspicious behavior, which includes reviewing identity and payment verification processes.

• Assess user-generated content to ensure adherence to community guidelines and our Terms of Service, thereby preserving platform integrity.

• Handle and manage requests for global data deletion.

• Investigate and document intricate chargeback disputes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, or Customer Support.

• Strong analytical abilities, high emotional resilience, and adaptability to changing fraud trends.

• Outstanding written communication skills with an emphasis on objectivity and clarity.

• A genuine passion for contributing to a safer, more trustworthy Internet.

• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

• Enthusiastic about investigating issues.

• Possess a sense of humor and enjoy collaborating with others.

• Bonus points: Proficient in Google Sheets.

• Familiarity with Stripe and Intercom (or similar CRM/Payment platforms).

• Previous experience with Forter, Sift, or other automated fraud detection systems.

• Experience in managing disputes specific to marketplace environments.
