This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Conduct on-site physical installation, functional testing, and quality inspection of surgical light suspensions, surgical booms, video integration systems, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with sales teams, project engineering, project management, field service personnel, electricians, plumbers, general contractors, and hospital perioperative staff.
• Verify site readiness and pre-installation infrastructure requirements.
• Execute a detailed inventory of installable equipment.
• Report issues to internal project teams and ensure follow-up for resolution.
• Install necessary cabling and video signal systems in accordance with design specifications, quality, and safety standards.
• Program, test, and inspect video integration sources.
• Conduct and document functional and quality checks prior to project sign-off.
• Maintain precise records of equipment installation and activities.
• Complete daily update reports and manage administrative tasks.
• Provide project updates to appropriate stakeholders.
• Work closely with Quality to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
• Interpret and install equipment based on complex wiring diagrams and CAD drawings.
• Comprehend infrastructure, electrical, network, and basic IP requirements.
• Arrange travel logistics and manage daily schedules.
• Cultivate project stakeholder relationships and offer basic operational training to customers.
• Oversee inventory of assigned tools and equipment.
• Address customer inquiries and service requests.
• Communicate project status and progress updates to customers.
• Build relationships with both internal and external business partners.
• Share lessons learned and feedback to enhance business processes.
• Adhere to safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements set by the customer and Stryker.
• Uphold product, quality, and process standards via Stryker’s Learning Management System.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 0–2 years of relevant technical experience (such as telecom, video/audio system installation, electrical/construction, medical devices, or hospital biomed).
• 0–2 years of technical experience or a similar skill set.
• Must possess a state-issued Driver’s License and be capable of safely operating a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to travel by commercial airline.
• Must be able to utilize ladders, chain hoists, material lifts, and pallet jacks.
• Must be capable of climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and above ceilings.
• Must have near visual acuity (corrected), color vision, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity.
• Must effectively communicate via cell phone, text, and email.
• Ability to work with large construction and medical equipment.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced, independent environment and exercise sound judgment.
• Must be able to analyze and resolve non-routine testing and/or equipment issues using independent judgment.
• Must be able to locate, comprehend, and adhere to detailed installation instructions and procedures.
• Must be able to read, navigate, and understand installation and technical manuals along with project documents with acute attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Intermediate PC skills and relevant application capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• A Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Travel, lodging, and meal costs are covered by Stryker in line with the Stryker Corporate Travel Policy.
