Associate General Counsel, Portfolio Companies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide counsel to the Company regarding its legal rights and responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations

• Offer strategic legal insights to the management team

• Draft and evaluate a variety of complex contracts

• Analyze laws and regulations that affect the Company

• Collaborate with and oversee external legal advisors

• Serve as an agent in various transactions

• Counsel internal teams on product-related matters

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree

• Minimum of nine years of legal experience

• At least four years of experience in-house

• Expertise in education, corporate, and contract law

• Experience in privacy, mergers and acquisitions, and licensing

• Strong interpersonal abilities

• Exceptional organizational skills

• Keen attention to detail

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time

• Capability to pass a required background check
