This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver legal assistance to enterprise entities.

• Collaborate closely with attorneys, business partners, fellow team members, outside counsel, and vendors to perform a diverse range of tasks.

• Effectively communicate with colleagues in the Legal Department, business partners, courts, and government agencies.

• Oversee and assign projects to outside counsel, demonstrating the ability to clearly identify and convey the requirements for matters such as EEOC charges, lawsuits, investigations by government agencies, and general employment-related inquiries.

• Manage legal issues, including complex litigation, transactions, litigation holds, investigations, due diligence, discovery, and additional responsibilities as needed within the Legal Department.

• Conduct legal research as required.

• Collaborate with outside counsel to perform witness interviews, prepare witnesses for depositions, government interviews, and trial proceedings.

• Attend and/or provide support during mediations and depositions.

• Work alongside outside counsel and/or more senior in-house attorneys to negotiate various legal documents, including contracts, employment agreements, settlement agreements, severance agreements, discovery responses, pleadings, position statements, responses to requests for information, agency complaints, correspondence, memoranda, policies, and other legal documents.


⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

• Generally requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in providing legal services within a law firm or as in-house legal counsel.

• Ability to support Legal Department leadership and business clients in both business and legal strategy, while evaluating, communicating, managing, and mitigating legal risks to the enterprise.

• Strong familiarity with federal and relevant state employment laws and associated agencies is highly recommended.

• Capability to develop, approve, and interpret policies across various sub-functions and departments.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with analytical and critical thinking capabilities; proven track record of managing multiple priorities and adhering to deadlines.

• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
