Associate General Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• This is a remote position, with preferred candidate locations including Milwaukee, Nashville, and Dallas.

• Oversee and assist with transactional and operational legal issues.

• Deliver practical and risk-aware legal guidance across a variety of areas such as contracts, acquisitions, target integration, corporate governance, employment law, intellectual property, limited securities law, insurance, and litigation.

• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate an extensive array of legal documents.

• Perform legal research and effectively utilize AI tools.

• Manage legal projects and ensure that records are compliant.

• Maintain a positive demeanor and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing workplace.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a law school accredited by the ABA.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance is advantageous but not mandatory.

• 8–10 years of experience in contract, employment, intellectual property, and transactional law.

• Prior experience as in-house counsel and/or in private practice is advantageous but not essential.

• Experience in the healthcare sector is desirable but not required.

• Prior experience with acquisitions and corporate governance is preferred.

• Valid license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal technology tools, including AI-assisted platforms.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Outstanding organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
