This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a strategic legal advisor to business leaders and senior management.
• Draft, assess, and negotiate intricate commercial agreements while independently overseeing high-value matters from initiation to conclusion.
• Provide guidance on domestic and international operations, sourcing, supply chains, logistics, freight and shipping, manufacturing, distribution, cross-border trade, import/export compliance, and government relations.
• Offer legal advice on investments, financing, joint ventures, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
• Lead cross-functional projects such as new market entries, product launches, and operational expansions.
• Manage disputes, investigations, claims, and pre-litigation scenarios.
• Oversee relationships with outside counsel, legal budgets, and the utilization of legal resources.
• Provide counsel on employment and labor issues, including workplace policies, wage and hour compliance, leave administration, and employment litigation.
• Advise on commercial credit operations, customer credit policies, risk assessments, secured transactions, collections, and recoveries.
• Supervise corporate governance, entity formation and maintenance, subsidiary management, and organizational structuring.
• Advise on intellectual property, branding, marketing, advertising, product commercialization, data privacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and technology-related matters.
• Counsel on product safety and regulatory compliance while monitoring legal developments.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, negotiation playbooks, legal policies, and operational best practices.
• Lead initiatives for process improvement and conduct legal training.
• Adhere to policies and standards while performing additional duties as assigned.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• 7–9 years of corporate legal experience.
• Licensed Attorney (requirements may vary by state).
• Strong expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including licensing, manufacturing, distribution, and technology arrangements.
• Experience in managing disputes, investigations, and relationships with outside counsel.
• Knowledge of employment and labor law, including employee relations, workplace investigations, and employment-related disputes.
• Background in corporate governance and entity management.
• Experience with international operations, cross-border transactions, trade compliance, customs, import/export regulations, supply chains, government relations, or cross-border regulatory matters is a significant advantage.
• Ability to distill complex legal issues into actionable business guidance.
• Comfortable working independently while exercising substantial judgment on high-stakes matters and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communicator capable of building trust with business partners at all organizational levels.
• Experience in the apparel, retail, wholesale, or consumer products industry is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with intellectual property, data privacy, technology transactions, product regulatory matters, or corporate transactions is a plus.
• Annual discretionary bonus of up to 20% of base salary.
