Associate General Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide legal advice regarding healthcare regulatory, compliance, operational, and corporate issues.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and oversee contracts, agreements, and business transactions.

• Counsel leadership on legal risks and create practical, business-oriented solutions.

• Assist in ensuring compliance with federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.

• Support governance, policy formulation, investigations, and conflict resolution.

• Track and analyze legal and regulatory changes affecting healthcare operations.

• Work closely with leaders across the organization to align business goals with legal compliance.

• Report directly to senior leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.

• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• Preference for Florida Bar membership or eligibility to acquire Florida Authorized House Counsel status.

• Extensive experience in healthcare law, ideally within a health system, hospice, home health, post-acute care, or other highly regulated healthcare settings.

• In-depth understanding of healthcare regulatory, compliance, contracting, and corporate legal issues.

• Outstanding communication, negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building capabilities.

• Ability to operate independently in a remote work setting.

• Willingness to travel 4–6 times per year as necessary.
