This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and evaluate components of tailored AI systems—including model integrations, data pipelines, APIs, and deployment tools—under the guidance of senior technical leadership.
• Engage in client interactions throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, prototype assessments, technical workshops, and delivery presentations.
• Assume direct responsibility for defined client-facing projects, with increasing accountability over the initial months.
• Rapidly create prototypes and iterate based on genuine client feedback.
• Proactively seek opportunities to implement AI within Eliza's operational processes.
• Define, create, and deliver impactful internal solutions from start to finish.
• Write clean, maintainable code and engage constructively in technical reviews.
• Familiarize yourself with Eliza's standards for delivery in terms of quality, documentation, and pace.
• Keep the engagement team updated on progress without requiring follow-ups.
• Collaborate closely with Lead and Senior FDEs, learning different strategies for addressing technical and client challenges.
• 0–2 years of experience in software engineering, or equivalent demonstrated capabilities through internships, open-source projects, or significant personal endeavors.
• Proficient programming skills in Python; knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or similar languages is an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a genuine interest in direct client engagement.
• Experience with modern cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and familiarity with version control / CI processes.
• Proven track record of delivering tangible results—such as a functioning system, tool, or model utilized by others.
• Strong sense of ownership: you see tasks through to completion and seek assistance before issues escalate.
• Preferred experience with LLMs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Cohere), vector search, or prompt engineering.
• Previous experience in client-facing roles, consulting, or professional services is advantageous.
• Preferably familiar with ML/AI project work, whether independently or in collaboration with data science teams.
• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and swiftly shifting between various problem domains is preferred.
