This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +6 more states.
• Formulate and articulate the strategic vision and operational framework for engaging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
• Develop and supervise the creation and implementation of individual KOL Mapping plans.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing – KOL Strategy and Congress Planning to ensure cohesive alignment.
• Establish and nurture productive, collaborative, and compliant relationships with colleagues leading teams in Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, and Medical Affairs.
• Work in tandem with the Field Sales team to execute all initiatives and programs related to thought leaders.
• Create systems to gather insights, synthesize and integrate them, and communicate findings to the brand to guide tactics.
• Strengthen connections between thought leaders and Mirum by facilitating compliant, value-added interactions across the organization.
• Partner with Medical Leadership on engagement strategies and planning as necessary, including the support and coordination of commercial advisory boards.
• Interact with KOLs to gather feedback that shapes and influences brand strategy.
• Contribute to the Marketing strategy for conferences and congresses, encompassing sponsorships, communication/messaging, and advocacy group involvement.
• Collaborate with Marketing portfolio leaders and field leadership to establish appropriate KPIs and metrics that support brand marketing and execution goals.
• Serve as the primary contact for the field, maintaining an effective two-way communication regarding KOL engagement, potential speaker identification, and emerging thought leaders and experts.
• Analyze market data, verify data reliability, and inform team stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Engage proactively with partners in Legal and Compliance to ensure that programs and processes are executed with the highest ethical standards.
• Bachelor's degree (required).
• At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry, primarily in a customer-facing role.
• Preferably 3 years of experience working with Hepatology KOLs.
• Preferably 2 years of experience as a Thought Leader Liaison.
• Strong strategic thinking abilities and capability to work hands-on to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to extract insights from diverse sources and an understanding of market dynamics and competition.
• Compile pertinent data from relevant sources and conduct analysis.
• Proven experience working effectively within a cross-collaborative internal environment.
• Ability to synthesize complex and varied information, recognizing trends and interrelationships.
• Proven track record of meeting objectives and deadlines, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness, and incorporating improvements and program return on investment (ROI).
• Extensive project management experience, with the ability to coordinate projects with multiple internal stakeholders and vendors in a timely manner.
• Exceptional verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
