Associate Director, Senior Study Lead – Single Sponsor Dedicated

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• The Associate Director Senior Study Lead serves as the head of the cross-functional clinical trial team (CTT), steering the planning and management of assigned clinical study/studies from start to finish to meet objectives.

• Responsible for proactive and iterative operational planning, incorporating effective contingencies and a risk management approach within the CTT.

• Manages budget and resource allocation for the assigned study/studies.

• Plays a key role in enhancing operational excellence through process improvements and sharing of knowledge across studies.

• Cultivates an empowered and psychologically safe organization capable of thriving in a matrix environment, adapting swiftly to evolving conditions and business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in life sciences/healthcare (or a clinically relevant degree) is mandatory.

• An advanced degree is highly preferred.

• A minimum of 4 years of recent experience in clinical research or drug development within an academic or industry setting, encompassing clinical activities in Phases I through IV of varying complexity and priority.

• At least 3 years of recent involvement and achievements in all facets of conducting clinical studies of standard to high complexity and priority (e.g., planning, executing, reporting, and publishing) in a global/matrix environment within the pharmaceutical industry or a contract research organization, including comprehensive knowledge of international standards (GCP/ICH), health authorities (FDA/EMA), and local/National Health Authorities.

• Experience in managing teams globally within a complex matrix environment is preferred.

• Experience in overseeing virtual teams.

• Demonstrated ability and substantial experience in leading teams and developing capabilities.

• Proven experience in fostering effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Exceptional communicator and presenter (both oral and written) with the ability to engage at all levels.

• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.

• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills, alongside an enterprise mindset, evidenced by a capacity to drive aligned solutions.

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
