This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Develop and execute managed care strategies in collaboration with major National payers such as United Health/Optum/Emisar, Humana, and Prime Therapeutics.
• Accountable for the creation and execution of both coverage and reimbursement strategies aimed at maximizing patient access and enhancing product coverage.
• Address all market access channels as necessary within a broad national territory and/or client base.
• Utilize established relationships with individuals associated with national and regional payers, as well as Medicare, Commercial, and Medicaid market segments.
• Evaluate the business implications of both short- and long-term initiatives with each payer customer.
• Notify all relevant commercial personnel about any access modifications or updates in account status that could affect sales, marketing activities, or other organizational efforts.
• Collaborate on various initiatives to create pull-through opportunities based on the favorable formulary status of Hikma’s products.
• BA or BS degree required (an MBA or advanced degree is advantageous).
• At least 3-5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech Market Access involving national payers/PBMs.
• A minimum of 5-10+ years of overall pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience.
• Established connections with pharmacy and medical decision-makers and influencers at prominent National Payers/PBMs.
• Strong negotiation abilities and experience in both pre- and post-PDUFA market preparation and planning.
• Preference for experience in brand, biosimilar, and complex generic reimbursement.
• Knowledge of US Market Access and the mechanisms through which Commercial, Medicare (Med D) payers (MA-PD and PDP), State Medicaid, and PBMs manage various disease states.
• Robust contracting and negotiation skills.
• Proven track record of securing preferred formulary status for brand products.
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and deliver presentations.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and general Microsoft suite software.
• Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry and at least 3 years in a decision support leadership role.
• At least 5 years in marketing for Generic, Biosimilar, and/or Brand Pharma products.
