Associate Director, Long-Acting Injectable Implementation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter authority on the implementation of long-acting injectables, providing guidance on access, reimbursement education, and stakeholder preparedness for PrEP Institutions throughout the East region.

• Collaborate with Pharmacy Directors and other key decision-makers at PrEP Institutions regarding Gilead's long-acting injectables and considerations for compliant implementation.

• Create, enhance, and implement strategies and standards to facilitate patient access to prescribed Gilead long-acting injectable PrEP medications.

• Serve as the primary external contact for significant matters related to LAI implementation, coordinating responses and resources with internal partners.

• Address inquiries related to LAI PrEP acquisition, workflow development, implementation logistics, and education on access and reimbursement.

• Develop strategies to resolve complex challenges related to stakeholders, workflows, access, and reimbursement, all while adhering to compliant business practices.

• Define field priorities, stakeholder engagement strategies, escalation routes, and cross-functional coordination to meet regional access objectives.

• Keep abreast of healthcare policies, payer and market trends, reimbursement avenues, specialty pharmacy dynamics, and buy-and-bill developments.

• Identify areas for improvement and convert field insights into broader process recommendations.

• Contribute to reports and updates for senior leadership via the Director of LAI Implementation.

• Represent Gilead with professionalism, sound judgment, and cultural sensitivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience OR a Master’s Degree/MBA with 8+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience in pharmaceutical field reimbursement, patient access, market access, implementation, account engagement, or related commercial access roles.

• Proficiency in long-acting injectable implementation, provider workflow development, access and reimbursement education, specialty pharmacy models, HUB services, and acquisition models, including buy-and-bill.

• Understanding of reimbursement relationships among payers, providers, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical companies, including pathways for commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and specialty payers.

• Proven experience engaging with large, complex provider accounts or institutions and influencing senior stakeholders.

• Ability to devise solutions for complex business and customer challenges, exercise sound judgment, and drive cross-functional initiatives.

• Capability to translate field insights, policy modifications, payer trends, and stakeholder feedback into process and access enhancements.

• Experience leading through influence and coordinating efforts among matrixed partners without direct authority.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% within the designated region.
