Associate Director – Long-Acting Injectable Implementation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert on the implementation of long-acting injectables, providing education on access and reimbursement, as well as stakeholder preparedness for PrEP Institutions throughout the East region.

• Collaborate with Pharmacy Directors and other key decision-makers at PrEP Institutions concerning Gilead's long-acting injectables and the considerations for compliant implementation.

• Design, enhance, and implement strategies and standards aimed at improving patient access to Gilead LAI PrEP medications.

• Serve as the primary external contact for significant matters related to LAI implementation, coordinating responses and resources among internal stakeholders.

• Address inquiries related to LAI PrEP acquisition, develop workflows, manage implementation logistics, and provide education on access and reimbursement.

• Create compliant solutions to intricate stakeholder, workflow, access, and reimbursement challenges.

• Establish field priorities, approaches for stakeholder engagement, escalation pathways for issues, and coordination across functions.

• Keep abreast of healthcare policies, payer and market trends, reimbursement methodologies, specialty pharmacy dynamics, and buy-and-bill models.

• Identify trends and opportunities for improvement, converting insights into recommendations for process enhancements.

• Contribute to reports and updates for senior leadership through the Director of LAI Implementation.

• Represent Gilead externally with professionalism, sound judgment, and cultural sensitivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience OR a Master's Degree/MBA with 8+ years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in the implementation of long-acting injectables, provider workflow development, education on access and reimbursement, specialty pharmacy models, HUB services, and acquisition models including buy-and-bill.

• Comprehensive understanding of relationships between payers, providers, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical reimbursement across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and specialty payer pathways.

• Experience engaging with large, complex provider accounts or institutions and influencing senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

• Capability to develop solutions for complex business and customer challenges, exercising sound judgment and considerable latitude, while driving cross-functional execution.

• Skill in translating insights from the field, policy changes, payer trends, and stakeholder feedback into recommendations for process improvements.

• Experience leading through influence and coordinating with matrixed partners without direct authority.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% within the designated region.

• Adherence to ethical, legal, regulatory, and Gilead's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct requirements.
