This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• The Global Market Access team offers commercialization strategies and reimbursement services to companies in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and diagnostics.
• Our client offerings encompass everything from pre-commercialization marketing strategies to the formulation and execution of launch pricing and access strategies across both established and emerging global markets.
• Associate Directors play a vital role in the Global Market Access teams and are involved in all aspects of the consulting process.
• They are accountable for the daily management of consulting staff, ensuring project quality, and are essential in fostering and sustaining client relationships.
• Specific responsibilities associated with the Global Market Access role include:
• A proven history of success in developing, leading, and executing global pricing and access/reimbursement projects (e.g., EU, APAC, LATAM), with expertise in HTA assessment frameworks, pricing & reimbursement models, and national/regional pricing & reimbursement systems.
• Assist in the creation and evaluation of project deliverables to guarantee the accurate framing of strategic issues, the application of suitable methods, and that both materials and final outputs meet or surpass client expectations.
• Facilitate client presentations and manage ongoing relationships.
• Actively contribute to business development and the project sales cycle.
• Oversee and mentor staff, including performance evaluations.
• Formulate corporate and product-level commercialization strategies for technologies in the initial stages of the product development process.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative research with payers and healthcare providers, including supporting the development of materials and facilitating discussions as needed.
• Craft payer strategies that encompass value propositions, global payer archetypes, and requirements for evidence generation.
• Conduct pricing studies for new products, which involve assessing pricing & reimbursement potential, list-to-net pricing dynamics, and contracting considerations.
• Execute market landscape evaluations for our clients’ technologies and their competitors, which include analyzing clinical literature, health economics and outcomes literature, payer access & reimbursement policies, and pricing dynamics.
• Travel requirements are project-dependent, averaging around 20%.
• BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the healthcare sector; expertise in market access, reimbursement, pricing, and/or health economics is essential, along with applicable management consulting experience.
• At least 2-3 years of experience managing project team activities, including work planning, staffing, deadlines, scope, and budget.
• Proven success in supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior staff, along with taking ownership and providing guidance for their career progression.
• Must be willing and able to travel to client locations across the US, up to 20% of the time.
