This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Associate Directors are tasked with overseeing projects from inception to completion.
• In this capacity, you will direct the activities of the assigned project team and assist in the everyday management of client relationships.
• You will skillfully create and oversee work plans, staffing, deadlines, and budgets while managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Your deliverables will be of high quality and ready for client presentation.
• In this prominent position, you’ll facilitate team meetings and mentor, manage, and coach staff consultants, offering constructive feedback on their project involvement and overall career growth.
• You will also work closely with Directors and Managing Directors, keeping them informed about project status and significant developments.
• Additionally, you will engage in sales efforts and contribute to practice development.
• A BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or PhD is preferred.
• A minimum of 6+ years of relevant consulting or work experience with large global pharmaceutical companies, mid-sized pharma, and/or biotech clients.
• A strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development and launch processes.
• The capability to analyze complex information, pinpoint key issues, and formulate effective strategies.
• Experience in advising brand leaders and business unit leaders, as well as supporting insights and analytics leaders in pharmaceutical firms to assist with portfolio strategy, commercialization strategy, and launch preparation.
• Familiarity with projects related to market sizing, HCP segmentation, patient journey mapping, forecasting, brand strategy, commercial model design, sales force sizing, marketing mix, and budget planning.
• Proficient in key pharmaceutical datasets, such as CMS, EvaluatePharma, IQVIA/Symphony/Komodo claims, affiliations, and Veeva activity data.
• Ability to work independently while receiving oversight from management.
• Experience managing project components, taking ownership of workstreams and/or analytics, as well as supervising, coaching, or mentoring others in their daily tasks is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey strategic recommendations to various stakeholders, including senior management.
• Must possess strong analytical skills (Excel, Access, etc.) and utilize analytical techniques to inform client and team decision-making.
• At least 5 years of experience leading project engagements, which includes planning, scoping, budget development, management, resource allocation, and overseeing multiple or more complex projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
• At least 3 years of formal management experience to drive team performance in achieving project goals and exceeding client expectations.
• Must be willing and able to travel to client locations across the US, up to 30% of the time.
• Proven success in formally supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior staff, including guiding their career development.
