This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive the strategy, governance, and optimization of Workday HCM Core and Security.
• Supervise the configuration, administration, and ongoing enhancement of essential HCM capabilities.
• Own and advance the Workday security governance framework.
• Collaborate on Workday HCM foundational structures and hire-to-retire business processes.
• Design and implement Workday security policies and protocols.
• Oversee core HCM processes, personal data management, and cross-functional or tenant-wide Workday modifications.
• Lead long-term strategic planning, roadmap creation, prioritization, and risk management.
• Partner with HR, Global Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Audit, Legal, and Compliance teams.
• Own the enterprise-wide design of the Workday security model, including role strategy, segregation of duties, least-privilege access, and sensitive data protection.
• Foster relationships with internal stakeholders and Workday support partners.
• Guide and authorize security modifications.
• Provide leadership for foundational data structures and business process frameworks.
• Evaluate process enhancements, new Workday features, automation opportunities, and workflow redesigns.
• Ensure robust controls and documentation for business processes and sensitive data access.
• Lead the biannual Workday release cycle, encompassing impact assessments, testing readiness, stakeholder engagement, and configuration update decisions.
• Lead and mentor the Workday functional team.
• Manage workload prioritization, capacity planning, and capability development.
• Act as an escalation point for complex HCM and Security challenges.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 12+ years of relevant experience.
• 10 years of leadership experience in Workday within HCM and/or Security.
• Proven expertise in Workday security architecture and foundational HCM design.
• Experience in cross-functional influence.
• In-depth knowledge of HR operations, data governance, regulatory requirements, and enterprise security models.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management, executive communication, and leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional HR/IT transformation or system governance initiatives.
• Workday Pro accreditation or certifications are preferred.
• Background in strategic workforce or job architecture initiatives is preferred.
