This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive program-level scientific communications strategy that aligns with the global Integrated Evidence Plan (IEP), brand strategy, and medical objectives, shaping communication priorities based on emerging data and evidence requirements.
• Direct the creation and upkeep of the core scientific communications platform and narrative, ensuring consistent interpretation and application of data across medical deliverables.
• Oversee the creation and ongoing maintenance of key medical communications materials, including product/program Q&As, and scientific presentation decks.
• Assist in the Medical Affairs congress strategy by leading the development of symposium content, congress booth materials, and post-congress scientific summaries.
• Collaborate with publication stakeholders to establish and drive the program-level publication strategy, including publication plans, prioritization of data dissemination, and alignment of abstracts and manuscripts with evidence and strategic scientific positioning.
• Work alongside Medical Information and other Medical Affairs colleagues to ensure scientific accuracy and consistency of messaging across standard responses, training materials, and field medical deliverables.
• Guarantee that all medical communications materials are current, compliant, and aligned globally.
• Manage external Medical Communications vendors, providing clear strategic direction and accountability for output, ensuring quality, compliance, fiscal responsibility, and timely delivery.
• Act as a contributor to launch and lifecycle readiness, ensuring that Medical Affairs is scientifically equipped for both internal and external engagements.
• Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).
• 6-10 years of experience in medical communications and scientific publications within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Proven experience in strategic publication planning at the program level, with the ability to align publications with integrated evidence plans and medical priorities, and to independently shape publication strategy.
• Demonstrated experience in creating scientific narratives, presentation decks, and congress materials.
• Strong understanding of clinical development and data interpretation, with the capability to translate complex data into clear, audience-appropriate scientific messages.
• Proven ability to collaborate across functions in a dynamic, matrixed environment while managing multiple therapeutic areas simultaneously.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Experience in managing external agencies and vendors.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~20%).
