Associate Director, Field Training – Multiple Myeloma

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Accountable for creating and implementing the sales franchise curriculum for AbbVie’s customer-facing teams in the US.

• Spearhead the formulation and execution of the annual training strategy.

• Oversee initiative and program design efforts that involve both external and internal organizations.

• Build and lead a team of highly effective trainers dedicated to developing curriculum that promotes the cultivation of AbbVie Leadership Attributes.

• Create and execute a proactive strategy to assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives.

• Engage with and influence all levels of line management to plan, design, and develop learning strategies that will aid in achieving relevant business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• 8-15 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales and sales management, demonstrating success in developing and leading effective sales teams is required.

• Experience in Heme Onc and/or Multiple Myeloma is highly preferred.

• A background in constructing launch training journeys and curriculum is strongly favored.

• A technical degree is preferred, or a degree in business or a related field is acceptable if paired with relevant training and sales experiences.

• Experience in commercial or medical training is essential.

• Familiarity with instructional design systems or extensive experience in training and curriculum development is needed.

• Strategic thinking and business planning skills are necessary to assess needs, create, direct, and influence commercial training and organizational development strategies.

• Project management experience, including managing cross-functional teams and/or external partners through significant projects or initiatives, is required.
