This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Identify, assess, and recommend events with a strategic emphasis on market positioning, brand visibility, client acquisition, and business growth across key markets.
• Assist in formulating the annual event strategy by integrating historical data, feedback, business priorities, lessons learned, and market opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and key leadership to evaluate, prioritize, and endorse events that align with the company's objectives, product focus, and audience requirements.
• Oversee event budgets, factoring in revenue and expense considerations, while pinpointing opportunities for enhanced efficiency and budget compliance.
• Lead the team tasked with the planning and execution of conferences, executive dinners, breakfasts, hosted programs, and various event formats.
• Review proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with venues, vendors, sponsors, and external partners.
• Supervise the team responsible for event timelines, deliverables, tasks, and dependencies to ensure timely completion and smooth event execution.
• Oversee the registration processes, attendee communications, promotional materials, event assets, and shipments.
• Develop and refine scalable processes for sourcing, assessing, contracting, and managing all third-party events.
• Lead the operational execution of third-party event participation, establishing and maintaining workflows for stakeholder coordination, vendor management, and logistics.
• Evaluate event risks, devise contingency plans, and resolve issues efficiently in high-pressure situations.
• Act as a key leadership contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the entire event lifecycle.
• Cultivate strong relationships with Sales, Marketing, Research, Executive Services, vendors, venues, and other cross-functional partners.
• Administer and enhance event-related systems and tools, including Salesforce, Cvent, and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Monitor and report on event performance metrics, including attendance, engagement, pipeline influence, opportunity generation, conversion rates, and ROI.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of event professionals through ongoing performance management, career development planning, mentorship, and continuous feedback.
• Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in event management, event marketing, hospitality, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale events with intricate logistics and multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in team management and development, including performance management, coaching, mentoring, career development planning, and promoting a high-performance culture.
• Strong expertise in event strategy, program management, budgeting, vendor negotiations, and logistics execution.
• Familiarity with event management platforms, CRM systems, and productivity tools.
• Experience in developing event performance reports and executive-level presentations.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as necessary to support event delivery.
