Associate Director, Digital/IT Business Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain business capability models that align with Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing initiatives.

• Lead efforts in business modeling across manufacturing processes, including unclassified, air-gapped, and classified environments.

• Identify avenues for modernization and optimization of legacy business processes and workflows, including those that support 24/7 automated operations.

• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects to ensure congruence between business requirements and technical capabilities.

• Work across functions to address undefined or emerging business challenges impacting engineering, operations, and manufacturing.

• Analyze constraints and design workflows that accommodate the air-gapped segments of the manufacturing process.

• Provide clarity and structure to complex, undefined business challenges.

• Contribute to strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, and transformation road mapping.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of relevant prior experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 10 years of experience.

• Experience in business architecture or enterprise analysis.

• Proficient in capability mapping and value stream modeling.

• Experienced in designing processes for automated or continuous operations.

• Knowledgeable in Industry 4.0 and the business-side implications of smart manufacturing.

• Familiar with TOGAF or BIZBOK-aligned business architecture principles.

• Experienced in navigating classified or air-gapped manufacturing settings.

• An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
