Associate Director – Data Strategy, Enterprise Reporting and Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives regarding data initiatives, comprehending client personas (CFO, CIO, CHRO, CAO) and offering guidance on leveraging data to achieve strategic objectives.

• Guide clients in developing a technology and data strategy program that democratizes data, utilizes modern cloud platforms, fosters data management, identifies critical control requirements, monitors data quality, and more.

• Improve clients' technology infrastructure and take on the role of Solution Architect to implement, collect, store, transform, process, and analyze data consistently, efficiently, and without silos in a single source of truth.

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions across various cloud platforms.

• Oversee the complete data solution implementation process, including ingestion, storage, transformation, and visualization using tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics, Fivetran, Talend, PowerBI, Tableau, and Sigma Computing.

• Work together with business stakeholders, data engineers, and developers to establish technical requirements and best practices.

• Create and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards across data platforms.

• Enhance data pipelines and ETL processes for optimal performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Assess emerging technologies and suggest solutions to enhance data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers and other team members.

• Ensure the seamless integration of data platforms within the overall enterprise architecture.

• Assist clients in designing and executing forecasting and predictive analytics models.

• Conduct client interviews to uncover the root causes of challenges and define and document business requirements.

• Perform current state/future state gap analysis for business and data processes.

• Develop executive-level communications and presentations.

• Mentor team members by coaching colleagues, providing regular feedback and annual performance reviews, and aiding project teams in resolving complex issues.

• Facilitate business development by cultivating relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

• Contribute to the go-to-market strategy and practice-specific programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of professional experience leading initiatives or client engagements focused on data strategy, data architecture, data engineering, or cloud-based analytics solutions.

• More than 5 years of experience in implementing Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• A minimum of 5 years managing technical teams dedicated to delivering analytical products and solutions.

• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data lake architectures, and real-time data processing.

• Knowledge of data security best practices, compliance standards, and access control mechanisms.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.

• Proficiency in SQL.

• Familiarity with Python programming, particularly with Pandas, NumPy, and matplotlib packages.

• MBA / CPA preferred.

• Certification in Snowflake / Alteryx / PowerBI / Tableau is preferred.

• SnowPro Advanced Certification is highly preferred.
