Associate Director – Counsel, Global Trade Investigations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Perform investigations into possible breaches of laws and/or policies associated with global trade.

• Evaluate allegations and investigative results to identify regulatory responsibilities and other external reporting obligations, and prepare disclosures and reports for governmental bodies and/or internal stakeholders.

• Work in partnership with Global Compliance team members and corporate stakeholders to deliver updates on investigation status and report on trends, compliance risks, and corrective measures.

• Assist in the creation, execution, enhancement, and upkeep of policies, standard procedures, and processes related to investigations and disclosures.

• Actively promote the RTX "Speak Up" culture (encouraging open reporting of concerns) and maintain a strong focus on the Code of Ethics, demonstrating integrity at all times.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.), Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), or equivalent degree with at least 5 years of pertinent international trade experience.

• Must be an active member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills along with strong written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. export control and sanctions regulations.

• Previous experience in conducting witness interviews and preparing disclosures for regulatory agencies.

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

• Experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting is advantageous but not mandatory.

• High proficiency in English is required.
