This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Proactively identify, pursue, and secure potential new business opportunities within a designated territory, including both new and existing customer accounts.
• Engage in networking within the industry to build and maintain relationships while identifying potential new and expanded business opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales management and operations to identify, prioritize, and pursue a list of targeted account opportunities.
• Work alongside management to develop and implement an annual plan for focused sales and marketing activities.
• Continuously monitor and update the CRM system with the status of contacts, leads, and opportunities.
• Strive to achieve target sales and pipeline metrics for the assigned territory.
• Coordinate with proposals and contracts teams to formalize customer engagements.
• Provide senior management with regular updates on key deliverables and potential opportunities.
• Suggest new opportunities for organizational investment based on market insights.
• Stay informed about current industry trends and developments impacting target markets.
• Represent Lexitas at local, national, and international meetings relevant to public relations and future business development.
• Participate in the interview process and selection of personnel, as well as provide training when necessary.
• A bachelor's degree is required, and an MBA or another related advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in business development within a Clinical Research Organization.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the medical and pharmaceutical industries, including terminology and practices.
• Experience in ophthalmology is preferred.
• Prior experience with long cycle sales in the bio-pharma, medical device, or CRO sectors.
• Established client relationships with key national and global bio-pharma decision makers.
• Proven history of achieving and surpassing sales quota targets.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a sense of urgency.
• Proven track record with mid and high-level contacts at national and global bio-pharma companies.
• Formal sales training, such as SPIN Selling or Miller Heiman Strategic Selling.
• Outstanding writing skills and diligent follow-up practices.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and develop sales leads, along with professional presentation skills.
• Strong facilitation and communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with proven organizational skills.
• Strong business acumen, including financial insight.
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
• Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
