This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide strategic direction for a division within DLB's Design Department.
• Supervise various engineering disciplines, leadership teams, client programs, and operational initiatives that support mission-critical and data center projects.
• Define the long-term vision for the division and promote operational excellence.
• Formulate organizational strategy and guarantee the successful achievement of business goals.
• Oversee divisional performance, organizational growth, staffing strategies, client relationships, and resource allocation.
• Implement divisional priorities and strategic initiatives.
• Manage assigned client programs and ensure successful delivery, operational consistency, and client satisfaction.
• Track performance metrics and provide reporting, recommendations, and operational insights.
• Create operational plans, forecast resources, coordinate staffing, and organize workloads.
• Evaluate operational risks and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with department leadership to shape organizational strategy and structure.
• Facilitate change management and nurture a high-performance culture.
• Develop and enforce operational policies, standards, and best practices.
• Assist with hiring, succession planning, budgeting, staffing, and operational coordination.
• Lead resource forecasting for assigned client programs.
• Act as the senior relationship owner for strategic and major clients.
• Propel business development strategies and enhance market positioning within the data center and MEP consulting sectors.
• Anticipate shifts in client needs and market dynamics, aligning service offerings accordingly.
• Advocate for technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives.
• Promote the use of data analytics for divisional planning and forecasting.
• Ensure that technology investments are in line with divisional objectives.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Extensive operational leadership experience across various engineering teams or client programs.
• Proficient in resource forecasting, staffing coordination, and workload management.
• Strong budget management and operational planning skills.
• Advanced client relationship management and program oversight capabilities.
• Proven ability in strategic execution and organizational planning.
• Experience in leading organizational initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration across multiple business units.
• Competence in performance management, coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with operational metrics and reporting for informed decision-making.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience with business technology platforms.
• Ability to assess complex business challenges, devise strategic solutions, and implement organizational initiatives.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities with exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment through effective communication, self-motivation, and strong organizational capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with executive leadership, employees, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in planning, prioritizing, and delegating tasks across various teams and leadership levels.
• Ability to adhere to company and site safety regulations.
• A B.A./B.S. degree in engineering, construction, or a related discipline, or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of 10 years of industry-related experience.
• At least 2 years of leadership or management-level experience with proven people leadership.
