Associate Director – Asset Acquisition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assess the genetics, biology, data, and development strategies associated with therapeutic methods aimed at genetically driven diseases.

• Propel business development and due diligence initiatives to enhance the pipeline.

• Keep abreast of scientific literature, patents, and conference discussions.

• Proactively engage with academic institutions.

• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to generate insights into diseases and scientific inquiries.

• Analyze, compile, and present essential findings during investment meetings with management and key stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced technical degree in life sciences (MD or PhD).

• Approximately 4 years of experience at a leading life sciences consulting firm, in a biotech or life science startup business development position, or in venture capital.

• Some post-doctoral experience or additional training is preferred.

• Confidence in working across a diverse range of therapeutic areas.

• Extensive knowledge of biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the precision medicine sector.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• A strong sense of curiosity and a robust work ethic.

• Strong interest in and aptitude for science.

• A passion for assisting patients.

• Willingness to travel frequently to the San Francisco Bay Area and flexibility to travel as necessary for in-person meetings.
