This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.
• Deliver education, either in-person or virtually, to designated accounts regarding access and reimbursement topics that align with product strategies.
• Act as the primary contact for patient access and reimbursement during business-to-business discussions with account executives.
• Oversee the implementation of access and reimbursement strategies and manage downstream operations within relevant accounts.
• Provide training to providers and their staff on programs, acquisition pathways, buy-and-bill procedures, workflows, ordering, payment, inventory, and returns and replacements.
• Address reimbursement concerns with third-party payers and assess account-specific reimbursement challenges.
• Recognize access trends and assist with local coverage decisions to enhance patient access.
• Educate customers about Novartis-sponsored patient support initiatives, including co-pay assistance.
• Collaborate with the Patient Support Center and Access & Reimbursement Managers on managing patient cases and resolving issues.
• Work in conjunction with cross-functional teams at Novartis and third-party partners.
• Manage patient-identifiable information in accordance with HIPAA regulations, privacy laws, and company policies.
• Identify and report adverse events through established systems at Novartis.
• Develop and communicate geographic action plans.
• Assist with the procurement, onboarding, logistics, billing, reimbursement, and patient-specific support for radioligand therapy sites.
• Facilitate treatment-site onboarding, including RAM licensing, W9 forms, and PRD preferences.
• Oversee field-business expenses and ensure timely submission of expense reports.
• Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology, focusing on Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, or account management.
• At least 2 years in a support role within a Patient Services practice for specialty products.
• Experience working with complex practices and/or health systems to create access and acquisition pathways.
• Experience in strategic account management, using a proactive approach to foresee access challenges.
• Extensive knowledge in integrating manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs.
• Familiarity with specialty products obtained through Specialty Pharmacy networks.
• Understanding of specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, and retail reimbursement pathways.
• Strong comprehension of commercial payers, Medicare plans, and state Medicaid within the assigned region.
• Must reside within the designated territory.
• Willingness to travel and cover the assigned area; at least 50% travel is required.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is necessary.
• Driving is a crucial aspect of this position.
• Experience in leading and delivering presentations to C-level executives is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Field Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Public Affairs, State & Government Affairs, Trade, Specialty Pharmacy Account Management, and third-party affiliates.
• Expertise in therapeutic-area practice dynamics and the support needs of reimbursement and product programs.
• Excellent customer focus, collaboration, business acumen, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Significant use of a company-provided vehicle and maintenance of a strong driving record.
• Capability to manage field-business expenses and provide timely expense reports.
