This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico, +1 more state.
• Engage with large and intricate accounts to facilitate patient access within designated therapeutic-area products.
• Deliver face-to-face or virtual educational sessions to providers and their staff regarding access and reimbursement programs.
• Assist in the integration of products into office processes and workflows.
• Collaborate with executives, providers, administrators, billing and coding personnel, claims departments, and revenue cycle managers.
• Evaluate reimbursement challenges and provide provider-level solutions.
• Support local coverage decisions and ensure effective pull-through strategies to enhance patient access.
• Monitor both regional and local access landscapes while anticipating changes in healthcare.
• Coordinate with the Patient Support Center and Access & Reimbursement Managers on patient case management, issue resolution, reimbursement assistance, and educational support for office staff.
• Work collaboratively across functions with Novartis field and internal associates to share insights about customers and tackle access barriers.
• Inform healthcare professionals about acquisition pathways utilizing approved materials.
• Educate complex accounts regarding buy-and-bill processes, workflows, facility pull-through, and alternative acquisition channels.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceuticals or biotech with a focus on Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, and/or account management.
• A minimum of 2 years in a Patient Services practice support role specifically for specialty products.
• Proven experience collaborating with highly complex practices and/or health systems to establish access and acquisition pathways.
• Strategic account management experience characterized by a proactive approach to foresee access challenges.
• Extensive knowledge of integrating manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs.
• Familiarity with specialty products obtained through Specialty Pharmacy networks.
• Understanding of specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, and retail reimbursement pathways.
• Must either reside within the territory or be within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 60 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a broad geographical area.
• Capability to drive and/or fly within the territory is essential.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Preferred qualifications include education in business and/or biological sciences, an advanced degree, and experience in buy-and-bill environments.
