Associate Delivery Engineer, AppGate ZTNA – Federal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Install and set up AppGate controllers, gateways, and clients under the guidance of senior engineers.

• Adhere to deployment runbooks and established standard operating procedures.

• Assist with integrations to identity providers and telemetry sources, including SAML, OIDC, RADIUS, LDAP, and Active Directory.

• Aid in troubleshooting deployment issues by utilizing logs, shell access, and basic packet inspection techniques.

• Develop and modify simple scripts in Bash, PowerShell, or Python to facilitate deployment and sustainment tasks.

• Implement STIG and SCAP hardening procedures as instructed.

• Support sustainment activities such as patching, upgrades, health checks, and ticket resolution.

• Ensure accurate maintenance of deployment documentation and configuration records.

• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers accompanied by clear and well-documented context.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a systems, network, security, or IT engineering role, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficient knowledge of Linux systems administration.

• Familiarity with at least one scripting language, such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.

• Basic understanding of identity and authentication concepts, including Active Directory, LDAP, and SAML.

• Fundamental understanding of networking and security principles, such as TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, firewalls, and VPNs.

• Familiarity with at least one public cloud or virtualization platform.

• Strong attention to detail and effective documentation practices.

• Eagerness to learn and take direction within a delivery-focused environment.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
