📋 Description

• Assists the Dean in promoting the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the institution.

• Plays a critical role in the operational leadership and administration of the school, aiding in the management of academic programs, ensuring accreditation readiness, faculty management, student engagement, and various operational tasks.

• Collaborates effectively with the Dean and other leadership team members to foster a culture of excellence, continual improvement, and innovation.

• Acts as a key representative of the School of Education within the institution and plays a role in its engagement with external partners at local, state, and national levels.

• Executes curriculum revisions sanctioned through university governance by working with program directors and faculty to initiate, modify, or discontinue programs and courses.

• Oversees faculty contributions to course content and integrates feedback from students and external partners (employers, community organizations, professional practitioners) to enhance and refine the curriculum.

• Manages the ongoing evaluation of program and course portfolios by overseeing review cycles, ensuring alignment with learning outcomes, incorporating elements that advance program development (such as certifications, experiential learning, and microcredentials), and recommending course revisions or inactivations as necessary.

• Facilitates program and accreditation review activities by ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards, coordinating assessment of programs and courses, and documenting findings for continuous improvement.

• Promotes academic quality by advocating for consistent instruction and evaluation practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• A master’s degree from an accredited institution in education or a closely related field is required. A terminal degree (e.g., Ed.D. or Ph.D.) is preferred.

• At least five years of distinguished online teaching experience in higher education.

• A minimum of three years of experience in developing online programs and courses.

• At least three years of experience in managing online higher education programs (e.g., roles in program or curriculum leadership, committee or governance positions, or faculty supervision/coordination).

• Proven experience working effectively with non-traditional and adult learners.

• Strong leadership and management abilities, capable of guiding teams, driving execution, and nurturing a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Solid strategic and operational skills in designing, implementing, and assessing online academic initiatives throughout the academic life cycle (e.g., curriculum, faculty, students, assessment, accreditation, and quality).

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to build strong relationships across a diverse range of academic, operational, and enterprise stakeholders.

• Familiarity with online and hybrid learning modalities, educational technologies, and emerging trends that enhance teaching, learning, and student engagement.

• Competence in data-informed decision-making, including the ability to interpret academic and operational metrics to diagnose issues, identify trends, and enhance outcomes.

• Knowledge of accreditation, assessment, and academic policy frameworks relevant to programs, with the capability to ensure compliance and alignment.

• A commitment to creating equitable, inclusive, student-centered learning environments that appreciate diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
