Associate Counsel, Contracts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide legal assistance for Thermo Fisher Scientific's clinical research operations.

• Draft and negotiate agreements that facilitate therapeutic advancements.

• Act as the main legal liaison for designated departments.

• Safeguard the company's interests while enabling essential business decisions.

• Oversee a varied portfolio that includes enterprise service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and intricate contracts.

• Offer training and support to internal stakeholders.

• Assess legal ramifications and aid in risk management strategies.

• Adapt workload and priorities according to business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of legal or contract experience in healthcare, life sciences, or a related field.

• Active law license/qualification in the relevant jurisdiction (if applicable).

• Capable of independently drafting and negotiating standard contract provisions and complex provisions with guidance.

• Strong skills in risk analysis and mitigation, with the ability to assess legal implications.

• Exceptional proficiency in the English language, encompassing both written and verbal communication.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel.

• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently.

• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

• Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

• Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory compliance.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills for engaging with a variety of stakeholders.

• Adaptability to modify workload and priorities based on business necessities.

• May require 0-20% travel.

• Ability to work standard business hours.
