Associate Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conducting legal research and drafting briefs, opinions, and memoranda.

• Providing assessments on liability, damages, and valuation as requested by the Claims Department.

• Preparing and managing pleadings, motions, and discovery processes, which include depositions/examinations before trial and examinations under oath, as well as defending all assigned matters in trial or dispositive hearings, as applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-6+ years of experience in litigation related to insurance, defense, and/or personal injury.

• Juris Doctor degree is REQUIRED.

• Admission to the Texas Bar is REQUIRED.

• Must hold a valid license in good standing to practice law in Texas and comply with all licensing requirements, including mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) obligations as applicable.

• Willingness to travel as necessary, including but not limited to attending trials, hearings, depositions, management meetings, and conferences.

• Ability to document files in a clear, concise, and professional manner that is easily understood by customers, clients, co-workers, and other employees within the organization.

• Capability to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and possess strong organization, priority-setting, and multi-tasking skills.

• Ability to learn and apply substantial amounts of technical and procedural information.
