This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Conducting legal research and drafting legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.
• Providing assessments on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department.
• Preparing and managing pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions/examinations before trial and examinations under oath, and representing in trial or dispositive hearings for all assigned matters, as applicable.
• 2-6+ years of experience in related litigation, specifically in insurance, defense, or personal injury, is REQUIRED.
• Juris Doctor degree is REQUIRED.
• Admission to the California Bar is REQUIRED.
• Must maintain an active license in good standing to practice law in California and fulfill ongoing licensing obligations, including any mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements, where applicable.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, including but not limited to attending trials, hearings, depositions, management meetings, and conferences.
• Ability to document files clearly and professionally, ensuring comprehension by customers, clients, co-workers, and other employees within the organization.
• Capability to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, alongside possessing strong organizational, priority-setting, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Proficient in communicating in a professional manner, whether in person, via telephone, or through written correspondence/email.
