Associate, Corporate Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee due diligence for active transactions in collaboration with cross-functional Directly Responsible Individuals (DRIs)

• Organize and manage data rooms effectively

• Coordinate diligence and debrief meetings

• Prepare comprehensive diligence reports

• Develop initial operating models, trading comparables, precedent transactions, discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses, returns analyses, and accretion/dilution support

• Create first-pass screening memos and detailed assessments on incoming opportunities

• Assist in managing the venture investment portfolio

• Keep track of the deal terms inventory, including ownership details, financial instruments, pro-rata rights, information rights, and board/observer seats

• Gather quarterly KPI updates from portfolio companies

• Monitor valuation marks with Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Multiple on Invested Capital (MOIC) for each position

• Aid in the preparation of rolling forecasts for M&A deal-related cash outflows for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Treasury

• Compile executive deal materials, Board presentation pages, and supporting data analysis

• Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited university in Business, Commerce, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline

• Over 4 years of experience in a top-tier investment bank, venture capital firm, private equity firm, management consultancy, or startup environment

• Strong ability to comprehend and analyze business models within a financial context

• Exceptional financial modeling and valuation expertise

• Proven problem-solving abilities

• Experience in writing, including deal memorandums

• Proficient storytelling abilities regarding industry trends, implications, and challenges

• Advanced skills in Excel

• Familiarity with data analysis tools

• Capacity to work independently and manage multiple high-priority transactions simultaneously

• Proficiency in SQL is an advantage

• A strong network within the crypto and/or traditional financial markets is beneficial

• A technical background or in-depth knowledge of industry software products and services is a plus
