This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Act as a representative of Medtronic during surgical procedures by ensuring that all necessary equipment and products are on hand.
• Deliver technical support, assist with device selection, programming, and testing of device systems.
• Oversee patients throughout all stages of the clinical process and provide education on Medtronic products.
• Offer clinical assistance during surgeries, re-programming, troubleshooting, and follow-up procedures in hospitals and clinics.
• Address technical inquiries from customers, patients, and colleagues.
• Keep an up-to-date knowledge of competitive products.
• Train and educate physicians, hospital staff, and office personnel on products and therapies through educational sessions, in-services, programs, seminars, and symposia.
• Support management and sales training by assisting in the onboarding of new district employees.
• Complete event reporting and documentation utilizing Medtronic technology tools.
• Process orders for outstanding purchase orders and product replacements.
• Collaborate with materials management to gather purchase orders for covered cases.
• Oversee case-coverage inventory, which includes transactions, cycle counts, product retrievals, inventory turnover, and expiration/hold controls.
• Contribute to the achievement of quarterly district, regional, and national initiative targets.
• Work alongside sales representatives to meet territory and district business objectives.
• Visit accounts to replenish literature and develop or maintain relationships with office staff.
• Regularly utilize tools such as Excel, mobile phones, iPads, laptops, and/or Samsung tablets.
• Manage business expenses and budgets within specified timeframes.
• Complete therapy training and corporate compliance training.
• Travel to cover district cases and occasionally assist with cases in other districts.
• Function as a field-based clinical resource for Neuromodulation Pain and Target Drug Delivery Therapies.
• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or an Associate Degree with at least 2 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a health care related field.
• Preferred: Registered nurse or health care professional with experience in a sterile environment.
• Preferred: Clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care.
• Preferred: Experience in providing service to medical personnel regarding product use.
• Preferred: Background with a medical device or pharmaceutical company and clinical experience in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, operating room, pain management, or home health care.
• Preferred: Familiarity with basic reimbursement and healthcare environments.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
• Required to adhere to healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious diseases and radiation.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, nights, and travel overnight as necessary.
• Capability to work effectively and independently with minimal guidance outside of clinical events.
• Availability to attend national meetings, district meetings, and training sessions as requested.
• Ability to wear a 7–9 lbs protective lead apron for extended periods in the operating room.
• Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for over 8 hours per day.
• Ability to frequently bend/stoop, squat, and maintain balance.
• Specific visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and an active vehicle insurance policy; driving record will be reviewed.
• Expected to drive approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory, which may include overnight travel.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, the degree must meet the criteria set forth in 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for positions below the Principal level.
