Associate, Business Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with BizOps leaders on critical projects spanning growth, customer experience, and product strategy.

• Conduct both primary and secondary research to form well-informed perspectives and recommendations.

• Utilize data to extract insights and facilitate impactful business decisions.

• Assume responsibility for specific BizOps projects and partner with leadership to address intricate business challenges.

• Collaborate across teams including product, engineering, operations, and executive leadership to advance strategic initiatives.

• Embrace challenges with a humble attitude, taking initiative to get tasks accomplished.

• Offer clear and substantiated recommendations grounded in thorough problem-solving and analysis.

• Play a role in developing and defining the BizOps function at Wealthsimple.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, startups, or strategic operations positions.

• Capability to deconstruct complex issues and formulate practical solutions.

• Strong data and analytics proficiency: Comfortable handling and interpreting large datasets with meticulous attention to detail. SQL skills are advantageous.

• Regularly utilize AI tools in your work and possess a foundational understanding of their value contribution.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across various functions.

• Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and achieve results independently.

• Skilled at simplifying intricate concepts for varied audiences, including both executives and technical teams.

• Proactive in organizing tasks, adhering to deadlines, and keeping stakeholders updated.
