Associate Attorney – Multi-State

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Independently oversee case management from initial intake to final resolution.

• Formulate and implement legal strategies founded on thorough factual investigation and legal analysis.

• Engage in substantial communication with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel.

• Prepare and evaluate pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.

• Attend hearings and trials as required.

• Work in areas including Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships.

• Collaborate with paralegals and centralized operations staff.

• Contribute to onboarding, training, supervision, mentorship, and firm events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

• At least 3 years of substantive legal experience.

• Active licensure in two or more of IN, NC, SC, VA; other active licenses will be considered.

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a remote team.

• High level of organization, time management, and personal accountability.

• Demonstrated persistence, resourcefulness, and proactive problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel for in-person hearings, firm training sessions, meetings, and other firm-sponsored events.

• Proficient in Mac/Apple operating systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.

• Familiarity with timekeeping and case management software.

• Proficient in legal research applications.

• Submission of a cover letter, resume, and at least three professional references is required.
