Associate Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Act on behalf of financial institutions in eviction cases and all associated court proceedings.

• Oversee case workflow while ensuring adherence to client specifications, legal regulations, and court guidelines.

• Prepare and assess motions, pleadings, and correspondence.

• Participate in court hearings both in-person and via virtual platforms.

• Provide legal guidance and collaborate effectively with support staff.

• Offer responsive, client-centered legal services within a high-volume practice environment.

• Report directly to the Managing Attorney.

• Travel related to court appearances may be necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in New York (mandatory).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in evictions is preferred; all qualified candidates will be considered.

• Prior experience in a role focused on Evictions and/or Collections is required.

• Strong skills in legal writing, communication, and analysis are essential.

• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and motivated.

• Preferred qualifications include multi-state licensure, experience in bankruptcy or collections, and federal licensure.

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods is necessary.

• Capability to maintain focus for long durations is important.

• Proficiency in working on computers for a substantial portion of the day is required.

• Ability to perform repetitive movements as necessary for job functions (typing, clicking, swiveling) is required.

• Must possess the ability to multi-task effectively.
