• Represent the firm in court as required.
• Assess new claims submitted to the firm to ensure they comply with relevant regulations.
• Review and approve all pleadings prepared for court filing, including complaints and motions.
• Occasionally draft various motions and responses for contested matters.
• Present contested motions before the court, as well as conduct trials and arbitrations.
• Manage both telephonic and written communications with opposing counsel.
• Prepare responses to discovery requests or oversee counterclaims involving BG or the client.
• Juris Doctorate and admission to the Tennessee Bar.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with Collection Master or a similar case file management system is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of staff, judges, opposing counsel, and circuit court clerks.
• Capability to exercise tact, discretion, and courtesy when interacting with court officials, opposing counsel, and attorneys.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Must be detail-oriented, able to manage timelines, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
