Assistant Vice President – Technology, Data Warehouse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• The Enterprise Data Platform aims to deliver results that enable various departments within the bank to extract valuable insights from their Data Assets.

• Our primary focus encompasses a range of Data Warehouses, Hadoop, Business Intelligence, and Analytics Clusters within Information Management.

• This role involves the provision of delivery and support for platforms that include Hadoop, DWH, ETL, Reporting, and the Analytics application landscape.

• You will manage crucial applications that impact the bank’s management decision-making, regulatory reporting (which may affect financial and non-financial penalties), and operational reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 13 years of overall experience in data, specifically in DWH and Data Lake (Hadoop).

• A minimum of 5 years of expertise and knowledge in Big Data development, design, and architecture, including tools such as Spark, Python, Kafka, Sqoop, Ambari, Hive, HBase, and HDFS.

• Experience with cloud services (Azure/AWS) for data management.

• Strong database knowledge in Oracle and SQL Server.

• Proficient in writing SQL and PL/SQL.

• Solid understanding of Data Management Fundamentals.

• Familiarity with Informatica BDM and CDC.

• Knowledge of the banking sector is a plus.

• Proven track record of successfully managing the execution of at least three large engagements through to production go-live.

• Strong competencies in Data Management Fundamentals, Data Architecture, Modeling, Governance, and Data Security.

• Experience in offloading data from DWH to Data Lake.

• Skilled in designing frameworks utilizing No Code/Low Code technologies.

• Expertise in Data Modeling and Data Governance concepts.
