
Assistant Vice President, Life & Retirement Pricing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Drive the pricing strategy and provide actuarial support for new Life and Retirement offerings.
β’ Supervise initial pricing analyses and formulate final pricing recommendations.
β’ Create and deliver product pricing reports, recommendations, and business case analyses to senior leadership.
β’ Ensure that pricing methodologies are consistent with profitability goals, market competitiveness, and regulatory standards.
β’ Collaborate closely with Product Strategy to design, develop, and launch innovative Life and Retirement solutions.
β’ Manage the Life and Retirement rate-setting process, which includes developing recommendations, conducting financial analyses, preparing executive presentation materials, and achieving stakeholder alignment.
β’ Act as the Illustration Actuary for Life products.
β’ Provide actuarial oversight and support for illustration systems and methodologies.
β’ Guarantee that illustrations remain compliant, accurate, and aligned with product objectives.
β’ Oversee actuarial support for system development projects, including new product implementations, product enhancements, system conversions, and improvements to pricing and illustration systems.
β’ Partner with the actuarial valuation team on assumption development, experience studies, and profitability evaluations.
β’ Aid in long-term business planning through financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
β’ Share insights on emerging experience trends and their implications for product pricing and performance.
β’ Assist in formulating strategic goals and initiatives for the Life & Retirement sector.
β’ Impact key business decisions through actuarial expertise and data-driven recommendations.
β’ Mentor and cultivate actuarial talent while promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
β’ Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
β’ At least 10 years of actuarial experience in Life Insurance and/or Retirement.
β’ Proven experience in product pricing, product development, and actuarial modeling.
β’ Strong comprehension of actuarial valuation, profitability analysis, and financial projections.
β’ Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing decisions at the senior leadership level.
