This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute the quarterly production of financial forecasts, which includes management earnings, valuations, US GAAP compliance, and financial capital constraints such as leverage ratios, across various scenarios and sensitivities.
• Assist in the development and upkeep of US GAAP-based projections, collaborating with Finance to ensure alignment between forecast outputs and the enterprise financial reporting framework.
• Conduct a thorough attribution analysis of forecasting model results for period-over-period changes, and reconcile capital-based forecasts with actual and budget results.
• Aid in defining and documenting business requirements, and support the Actuarial Modeling team in troubleshooting issues, testing new functionalities, and validating changes before production deployment.
• Perform trend analysis to ensure that forecasted reporting items are consistent with, or can be clearly explained in relation to, actual reported results, focusing particularly on US GAAP and management basis outputs.
• Implement controls as designed to guarantee the accuracy and auditability of all projection outputs and escalate any issues for resolution as they occur.
• Develop and sustain additional processes and analytical tools to broaden the enterprise forecasting model’s coverage, ensuring reporting requirements are fulfilled across entities, accounts, and business segments not directly modeled within the core architecture.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at automating processes and enhancing model architecture to minimize manual tasks and boost scalability across forecasting outputs.
• Assist in preparing reporting materials for senior management and board-level meetings, which includes capital forecast summaries and variance commentary for management committees.
• A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in finance, accounting, actuarial science, or other quantitative fields.
• Over 7 years of experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or a related area within the insurance or reinsurance sector.
• CPA, CFA, or an equivalent accounting designation is preferred; progress in actuarial exams (ASA/FSA track) is also valued.
• A solid understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards; experience with asset accounting and liability valuations is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and a comprehensive understanding of the financial and economic drivers within an insurance or reinsurance business.
• Familiarity with financial systems, general ledger platforms, and FP&A toolsets; experience in supporting enterprise system requirements is an advantage.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables within established reporting timelines.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to succinctly summarize and present financial results to internal stakeholders.
