Assistant Survey Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Acquire knowledge of survey terminology and references.

• Master techniques for calibrating equipment.

• Perform measurements essential for technical survey tasks.

• Set up tripods and other fundamental equipment.

• Utilize surveying theories and principles to modify, test, and operate survey tools.

• Engage in both office and fieldwork environments.

• Address basic issues and problems while escalating more complex matters to senior staff.

• Generate tabulated data, field notes, and sketches.

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills.

• Adhere to all safety policies and protocols, ensuring proper use of PPE.

• Travel requirements may reach up to 75%, potentially spending up to 3 weeks per month away.


⛳️ Requirements

• No prior experience necessary.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Valid Driver’s License is mandatory.

• Ability to learn survey nomenclature.

• Competence in setting up tripods.

• Basic skills in equipment usage.

• Knowledge in handling delicate and costly equipment.

• Willingness to learn the fundamentals of equipment calibration.

• Steady hand required for accurate measurements.

• Ability to occasionally work at heights under varying environmental conditions.

• Must be able to wade through water; experience in boating and swimming skills are preferred.

• Proficiency in the safe usage of hand tools.
