Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Data Center Background

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost plans, and tender documentation.

• Conduct take-offs and measurements based on drawings and specifications.

• Support in administering contracts along with managing variations and payments.

• Aid in cost monitoring, budget tracking, and forecasting cash flow.

• Assist with the procurement of materials and subcontractors, including conducting price comparisons.

• Collaborate with site teams, clients, and consultants.

• Identify potential cost risks and explore opportunities for value engineering.

• Utilize quantity surveying software to ensure efficient project delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• At least two (2) years of experience in cost estimating.

• Experience in Data Centres is advantageous!

• Proficient in using advanced functions in CostX to generate estimates.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).

• Familiarity with relevant construction technologies and industry trends.

• A team player with effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Field experience is a bonus.

• Exceptional communication abilities (both verbal and written).
