This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
• Act as the primary commercial legal advisor for prominent product partnerships.
• Lead the legal strategy and implementation for intricate commercial agreements that support cutting-edge product initiatives.
• Provide guidance to Product, Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Regulatory teams regarding go-to-market structures and partnership frameworks.
• Counsel leadership and stakeholders on technology agreements, strategic alliances, terms of service, and other commercial legal issues.
• Supervise the creation and enhancement of legal templates, playbooks, AI processes, and risk management strategies.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Tax, and Regulatory teams to evaluate legal risks and execute actionable solutions.
• Assist in managing the contract lifecycle and improving legal process automation and tools.
• Support M&A activities, including contract due diligence and integration efforts.
• Undertake additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Head of Commercial Legal.
• Report directly to the Head of Commercial Legal.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or an equivalent legal qualification.
• Active law license in at least one jurisdiction.
• Over 8 years of experience in commercial legal practices.
• Ideally possess a blend of experience from top-tier law firms and in-house roles.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex, high-stakes commercial transactions in a global context.
• Experience with technology, SaaS, or strategic partnership agreements.
• Extensive knowledge of product development and go-to-market strategies from a legal standpoint.
• Exceptional skills in contract drafting, negotiation, and analysis.
• Proven leadership experience, including the ability to mentor and manage high-achieving teams.
• Capability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced, remote-first, and innovation-focused environment.
• Experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, or other heavily regulated industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with vendor onboarding, procurement processes, and compliance frameworks is an added advantage.
• Background in collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to develop and launch consumer-oriented and enterprise products is beneficial.
• Experience in implementing or managing contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools is advantageous.
• Enthusiasm for cryptocurrency, Web3, and emerging technologies is a plus.
