This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and lead a team of attorneys, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with the company’s strategic partnership objectives.
• Negotiate and draft intricate licensing and partnership agreements as required.
• Offer strategic legal advice on business initiatives and market entry strategies.
• Identify and evaluate legal risks, assess their business implications, and propose practical solutions to facilitate deal progression.
• Work collaboratively with alliances, operations, finance, and other cross-functional teams to create processes and operational frameworks.
• Establish new partner programs and drive the closure of deals.
• Convey complex legal matters clearly and succinctly to senior executives and partner leadership.
• Expand the alliance legal team to meet the demands of the company’s rapid growth.
• Travel occasionally to support partner relationships, negotiations, and internal meetings.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant legal experience.
• At least 3 years in a leadership position within an in-house environment.
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating and drafting complex channel and partner agreements.
• Knowledge of cloud marketplace contracting structures, such as AWS Marketplace, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in scaling legal resources within a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
• Proficient in driving and developing a team’s utilization of AI tools and agentic workflows.
• Experience managing 2–5 attorneys in a player/coach model.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance legal risks against business objectives.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to present information to executives and partner leadership in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to cultivate trusted relationships with both business and legal stakeholders.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
• Willingness to travel periodically, estimated at 10–15%.
• Proven experience employing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
